This program pays for Medicare Part B premiums, Part A and B cost-sharing, and, in some cases, Part A premiums. These are the different categories that Medicare beneficiaries may fall into.   • Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMB) –  The income limit for this program is $1,063 per month for single people. Married people can only earn a maximum income of $1,437 to qualify for this program. Under this program, participants can have Part A and B cost-sharing, part B premiums, and Part A premiums covered.
  • Specified Low-income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) –  This program pays Part B premiums for people who make as much as $1,276 per month. For married people, the maximum income level is $1,724.
  • Qualifying Individuals (QI) –  This pays Part B premiums for single people who make up to $1,436 per month or married people who make up to $1,940 per month.
  • Qualified Disabled Working Individuals (QDWI) –  This will pay the Part A premiums owed by certain disabled individuals who have recently returned to work. The income limit is $2,126 for people who live alone.
